When I'm not roaming the forests of Maine taking pictures of trees, moss, and other creatures, I'm cloistered away writing. Novels, poetry, short stories, journaling, and making collage are a few of my favorite things. My little adventure pup follows me everywhere I go as we dash towards the unknown together. He may only be 8 pounds, but he is an endless source of joy and laughter (I'll omit his troublesome nature is the star of my vexes). I live on an ever growing homestead, called Sweet Life Homesteaders, that is another of my childhood dreams come true. All this is backdropped by my unending desire to serve Jesus and follow Him wherever He may call me.
I share my stories and those of a similar mind on my blog and podcasts. Much Love, Jessica Marie Cunningham |

Living in the back-country in Maine allows one to see the stars so much more readily. They shine brighter and even the fainter stars twinkle enough to be seen with the naked eye. Every night as I walk my dog, Holmes, I cannot help but look up at the night sky. To see the stars and space above. Which always makes me stop and think about the deeper questions in life, which is where this poem came from.

"Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"
"What is written in the law?" He replied, "How do you read it?" He answered: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and, love your neighbor as yourself." "You have answered correctly," Jesus replied. "Do this and you will live." - Luke 10:26-28 NIV |
